PESAN NASIONALISME MELALUI KARYA FOTOGRAFI (Analisis Semiotik Pada Buku “Kilas Balik 2015”)

Nationalism is an understanding that argues the highest mutual loyalty of the individual must be left to the freedom state. Nationalism is commonly known as the consciousness of members in a nation that potentially together achieve a properity and strength of the nation itself to archieve unity, the desire to get independence, the desire to archieve the honor of a nation. The problem formulation that was tried to be explored by the researcher this time was the nation message in the Kilas Balik 2015 photo book trough the application of a photographic work. The message in this case is more about how Indonesian society still has a strong nationalist spirirt despite a conflict that could destroy a nationalism itself. The research method uses a qualitative-interpretation approach if semiotic analysis. Refer to the teory of Charles Sander Pierce without structure (sign), object, and interpretant. Then the data obtained will look for some signs that refer to form of message of nationalism. The scope of this research is an Kilas Balik 2015 collection of photos broadcast by ANTARA’s Natinonal News Agency (LKBN) on Disaster and Conflict Journalism which consist of 5 selected photos. After doing the research, finally found some answer about the message of nationalism in the Kilas Balik 2015 book that is a spirirt of nationalism that will automatically grow when conflict occurs or without the conflict occurring. That is thanks to a lesson we got from childhood, where every school or other education must insert a lesson that will make us understand the sense of nationalism itself and planting a sense of nationalism from an early age is important for the successors of nation
